Aging is hard. Health issues arise that make it difficult and sometimes impossible for our seniors to do things they once enjoyed. The loss of a spouse or the inability to live independently often results in a move to their adult children’s home or into an Assisted Living Facility. Although many Assisted Living Facilities have full activity calendars, many seniors long for companionship and a sense of normalcy. That’s where I come in! My goal is to give our seniors something to look forward to. Their days can be monotonous, and depression can sneak in. It’s amazing how a visit from a younger person can brighten their entire day. If the client is still physically active, we’ll do active things together. If the client has mobility limitations, I will come up with things for us to do together that fit within their limitations. I work with clients with dementia, MS, visual impairment, among other health issues.
Senior Companionship & Advocacy

My Story
As an only child, I was the primary caregiver and advocate for my father with Lewy Body Dementia. He suffered from several other health issues, but the dementia was by far the most devastating. I was committed to being by his side as his advocate during the countless visits to various clinics, dialysis centers, and hospitalizations. After his passing in 2022, I felt compelled to help other families struggling with the aging process. While I’m a certified personal trainer, I also currently provide companionship and support to local seniors. I strive to deliver a better quality of life for both the senior and their family.
My Commitment
Cultivate a friendship with the senior client
Plan and coordinate activities based on client’s interest and current disease stage
Communicate regularly with client’s family members about any observed health or behavioral changes and advocate for any necessary changes and/or medical attention
A committed and trusted liason between the senior living facility staff, client’s family, and home health care professionals
